We have very nice results here (getting close to 50% of the time in vanilla), but the overhead for small allocations is very high yet. That will be addressed by adaptivity real soon, since we will not have a compressed cache when it's not needed (like in 30MiB allocation). In small allocations, it's possible to allocate all the needed memory without swapping out, so vanilla kernel can perform the allocation very quickly.
